LGBTQ Center OC

Through engaging in-group activities and community events, we offer the opportunity for program participants to meet other peers, receive mentorship, and develop a strong sense of identity, connection, and community involvement. Additionally, we encourage family support and involvement to build greater understanding and acceptance. By involving parents and families, we aim to strengthen supportive environments both at home and within the community.

Part of our program emphasizes youth leadership and community engagement, encouraging young people to take on active roles in advocacy and community-building initiatives. We provide opportunities for LGBTQIA+ youth to develop leadership skills through campaigns, educational workshops, mentorship, and community involvement. Youth are able to learn about organizing and create youth-led activities and events with support from Center staff. By encouraging youth to take on leadership roles, we help them build confidence and skills, and contribute meaningfully to creating a more inclusive and equitable Orange County.
